When you have DTC Codes like Crankshaft Position and Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 2

The picture below is a 2GR Engine found in Lexus ES350, RX350, Highlander, Sienna, Camry, Avalon etc

It has Dual Overhead Camshaft in each Bank

When you have DTC Codes like Crankshaft Position and Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 2

It means that there’s a misalignment between the Crankshaft and Camshaft Position in Bank 2

That is, If CKP and CPS should be at Point 1.5 in Bank 2, either the CKP or the CPS is at Point 1.3 or 1.6, they’re no longer in alignment or they don comot for plum

The DTC code has already streamlined the issue for you to know where to focus exactly

Check the wiring connections of the Crankshaft Position sensor and Camshaft Position Sensors in that Bank

For a V6 with Dual Overhead Camshaft, the Camshaft position sensor has A and B, so check both

If the DTC code says, Crankshaft Position and Camshaft Position Correlation Sensor A Bank 2

First check the Camshaft position sensor A wiring and the sensor before adjusting the timing

It’s rare for Crankshaft to lose position unlike Camshafts, unless the crankshaft teeth is weak at a particular point

A good mechanic can adjust the timing very well to get rid of that code asap

In V6, the effects will be minimally felt except for check light, high fuel consumption etc

But for 4 cylinder engines like the 2AZ, the engine will be vibrating like someone suffering from Severe pneumonia and Parkinson’s disease, sometimes the engine may shut down on load

I hope this helps someone out there with that code

Explain to your mechanic so he will understand

Good morning and have a great day ahead โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿš˜
