Many dealers are playing a fast one on innocent car buyers, especially dealers in shared Car stands or garages
I went to check Mercedes Benz ML350 yesterday and I saw four of them that matched the client’s choice
The first one was good, interior, exterior and underneath, engine sounds good but lots of warning lights on dashboard, when I connected my VCI, no communication, I knew He has tampered with the gateway and was only trying to convince me to recommend the car and play down those warning lights, I declined and went to check the other one
The second one was neat but he’s been using it for 2 years unregistered, funny thing is after using the car for that long period, he reset the mileage to bear the original mileage the car came with
You drove a car for 2 years and still want to sell it as a Tokumbo and very expensive, No No
The last one made me feel bad honestly, car was shining, you know how they use stuffs to make car shine including the tyres, everything seemed okay not until I wanted to start the engine
The Check Engine Light was blocked, but car started, lol, I knew something was fishy, diagnosis revealed that the car have history, pending and current issues of transmission slipping, incorrect gear ratios, transmission range sensor issue, and intermittent communication with ECM
It doesn’t happen immediately, only when the car heats up and ran for hours, such car can’t travel from Lagos to East, never

The fourth one was better but very pricey
Cheap cars are sold cheap for a reason, car parts are very expensive now so do your due diligence before buying one even though there’s no perfect car out there
